It all starts with a dream. Our goals, our hopes, our adventures. They all begin with dreams. Dreams can be small or large, crazy or timid, sad or hopeful, but all dreams gives us the opportunity to see what our subconscious thinks of the world.
The definition of a dream is:
Noun:
1. a series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person's mind during sleep.
Verb:
1. To experience dreams during sleep.
2. Contemplate the possibility of doing something or that something might be the case.
So, in plain text, a dream is just your thoughts of the day playing through your head as you sleep into tomorrow. Seems pretty self exclamatory to me, but how do you explain everything that happens? Am I the only one that thinks that understanding dreams is confusing? Or am I the only one with the weird and crazy dreams that are inexplicable?
For example, around the time when I was whole heartedly in love with the Jonas Brothers I had the craziest dream that is still so vivid to me. Basically, I was in a beach town with my family enjoying the activity of picking shells off a roof of a beach house with the JoBros when Joe Jonas decides to push me off the roof. Luckily, I was harnessed to the roof, but I still fell to the street where a car nearly hit me. Cue Missions Impossible styled spy roll to the safe sidewalk. Okay....so Joe Jonas pushed me off a roof. No big deal. It was just a dream. There's nothing wrong here other than WHY THE HECK DID JOE JONAS PUSH ME OFF A ROOF? What is my mind telling me!?
Hopefully, now, you see where I'm coming from when I question the idea of studying dreams and truly understanding them. I'd probably get a very detailed and scientific explanation for my dream meaning from a psychic, dream doctor, or dream analyser for a good price, but can they truly explain my own mind to me? Can anyone explain why a boy band singer would push one of his biggest fans off a roof? I didn't think so.
So, with the help of my best friend, Tina, I shall blog about my weird dreams and study them. I'll include the usual dream study components such as my last meal of the day, my last thoughts, what I did that day, etc.. Tina will actually illustrate some of the dreams to add artistry and a better picture to the whole ordeal! We hope this will be as enlightening for you readers and fellow bloggers out there as it will be for us!
Dream Study:
- A dream will be posted every week with all the needed components.
- Illustrations will be posted along with the dream postings.
- This study will run until my dreams finally begin to make sense to me.
Remember guys!
It all starts with a dream!
